In a world filled with feature-packed training apps, simplicity often takes a back seat. But what if there was a way to manage your workouts without the overwhelm? That’s The Next Race – a streamlined, user-friendly platform designed based on community feedback to focus on what really matters.
Unlike complex platforms like TrainingPeaks, which can be challenging to navigate, The Next Race is a start-from-scratch platform that focuses on the essential features, making it easy for anyone to create and manage their training plans.
The Essentials of The Next Race
I boiled down the most important features into what I call “the essentials”:
Training Plans: Manage your workouts with ease using a calendar-based interface, one of the most intuitive and familiar UI patterns.
Workouts: Each workout is represented as a block, containing all the key details you need, making it easy to get a quick overview. A workout can be dragged from a sidebar into the training plan, or by clicking on a specific day, a workout can quickly be added to that day.
Share: The last thing I want is for you get get stuck using The Next Race. Which is why I made it so that you can use the platform to create your training plans and then import them into your preferred calendar app. All changes made in The Next Race will be reflected in your calendar app. You can also share your plans with friends, family, club, team or clients via a public link.
Collaboration: Work together with your loved ones to build and refine training plans that meet your goals. Again, super useful for coaching your friends, club, team or clients, as some people are motivated by being involved in the planning process.
The five features are designed in a way so that anyone can use them. I even tested on a 9 year old kid. Trust me. It's ridiculous how easy it is to use. I'm almost proud/surprised.
